That's me
Hi, I’m Kies.
This is my blog and it’s meant to help me get to know myself better and grow as a person.
I love learning new things that spark my curiosity. But over time, I’ve come to realize that curiosity alone doesn’t translate into knowledge or skill. Often, I theoretically know how to do something, but in practice, I act differently, whether out of laziness or doubt. Most of the time, I don’t even know why I didn’t act the way I intended.
That’s exactly what this blog is about. I want to prove to myself that things can be different. I don’t want to just think and talk. I want to take action and reach the goals I’ve set for myself.
We live in an incredible time, the Information Age. Anything you want to know is out there on the internet. The real problem is that there’s too much information, and I often don’t know where or how to start. The more I read and research, the more I realize just how many different paths exist. Most of the time, this only leaves me more confused, and I end up stuck in a loop of gathering knowledge instead of actually doing something.
This blog isn’t about teaching others. It’s about taking action. I’m at the beginning of this journey, far from perfect. I’m also unprepared and have no idea what lies ahead. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in these few years of life, it’s that sometimes the fastest way to reach a goal is to just start, unprepared. The believe the knowledge I need will come along the way.
I love sports, and this is where I’ve especially learned that lesson. The saying “Practice makes perfect” holds a lot of wisdom. You can read as many books about tennis as you want, but in the end, you have to practice to master it and get better. Why should life be any different? That’s what I’m trying to test now. I hope to learn a lot from my mistakes. I want to capture this experiential knowledge here.
I don’t want to just motivate people with my words. I want to inspire them with how I live! I want to show that the “average” person in our society can be “extraordinary” in their own unique way.
I’m really looking forward to what lies ahead!
Kies
